Impact on Others

You will have very little impact on others (particularly those who disagree with you) unless:

• a) you are actually spending time with them
• b) the gospel is making significant counter-cultural impact on your own personal life
• c) you learn to talk about how it's changing you in down-to-earth practical ways ordinary people can understand (instead of soapboxing on how they need to change)
• d) thankfully, the Holy Spirit trumps all that (your hope should be in the Spirit, not how well you are doing a, b, c... nevertheless, the Spirit often uses people who are doing a, b, c – e.g. think of Paul, becoming all things to all people that by all means possible he might win some...)
