Purpose & Calling

Lord, it strikes me what a gift it is to have a clear sense of purpose and calling, and to enjoy this work you have given me!

It also strikes me that even though you have given us this lifelong calling (e.g. to seek the shalom of the city – Jeremiah 29:7) the psalms are primarily full of praise about your work! Even in midst of great adversity, David is constantly praising, marveling, rejoicing at what you have done...
