What's Our Mission

Re-reading my journal July 2011 [about All Souls Missoula]. Lot of reflections on Mission, and how to instill that in a Church? Strikes me that:

• it's very easy to make our mission "planting churches", "reaching the lost", or "starting movements"
• interesting we don't really get see these emphasized in the NT – emphasis there seems to be on good works (and holding fast to the truth of the gospel)
• seems to me that what would really help All Souls [Austin] grow the most (in terms of our mission)...

  • 3. more people reading/praying and starting to think about their work (vocation) as the primary domain in which to work out their faith
